Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating a Looksmith account or using the Looksmith service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What Looksmith Is

Looksmith is a personal wardrobe management tool. It helps you catalog your clothing, get AI-powered outfit suggestions, track what you wear, plan trips, and understand your wardrobe better over time. It is provided as-is, as a web application and progressive web app (PWA).

3. Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Looksmith.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• One account per person. Please don't share accounts.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

4. Your Content

You own the photos and data you upload to Looksmith. By uploading content, you grant Looksmith a limited license to store, display, and process it solely to provide the service to you. We don't claim ownership of your wardrobe data.

Please only upload content you have the right to use, such as your own photos of your own clothing. Don't upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates someone else's rights.

5. AI Features

When you use the Add wardrobe feature, photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to automatically identify clothing items, categories, and colors. By using this feature, you consent to your photos being processed by Anthropic under their Privacy Policy.

Outfit suggestions are generated using your wardrobe data, style profile, and weather information. AI suggestions are not guarantees, so use your own judgment.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Looksmith for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from Looksmith in an automated way.
• Upload photos of people without their consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep Looksmith running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

8. Termination

You can stop using Looksmith and delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your data from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Looksmith is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be error-free, that outfit suggestions will meet your expectations, or that your data will never be lost (though we take reasonable precautions to protect it).

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Looksmith shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of Looksmith after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
